This is what actually happened, not the original planned itinerary - I stayed a little longer in Washington DC, completely missed Dusseldorf, Berlin and Vienna on the way home, and actually came home a different way (via Perth rather than directly to Melbourne) as a three-day wait in Bangkok was beyond my means.
During my travels, I've met some lissuns more than once. Rowen came to Australia in 1999, to the MLG III, and I stayed with her in Cedar Rapids. Marian popped up several times in my travels. I "gathered" with Jim Klein in San Francisco and London, and then I "gathered" with Kevin Danks and Jordi Giralt in London and Portsmouth. I met Sarah at MLG III, and visited her home a few days later with Rowen . . . and so forth, I could go on forever. All this to explain the restriction of the following table to first meetings, for the sake of accurate calculation of numbers of lissuns met. Phew!
